After more than a decade of thoughtfully designing their primary home in Historic Brookhaven, these longtime clients wanted to create something entirely different: a retreat right in their own backyard.

Designed from the ground up as a place to play, relax, and welcome guests, the pool house was conceived as a true home away from home—one where they could open the wall of sliding doors to watch movies from the pool, gather for mahjong with friends, or comfortably host guests for as many nights as they'd like to stay.

Every detail was considered to make the space feel both beautiful and effortless. Bluestone floors, quartzite countertops, and a stone fireplace establish an organic, Nantucket-inspired foundation, while layers of blue bring color and personality to the otherwise neutral palette. Layered natural fibers throughout the fabrics and furnishings add warmth and texture, creating a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. The top floor primary bedroom features a coffee bar, king size bed with luxury bedding, and full marble bathroom, while the two large dormers were transformed into built-in queen beds, making it possible for entire families to stay comfortably.

Though designed as a retreat, the pool house quickly became much more than a place for occasional guests. Today, the family uses it almost every day—a favorite spot to gather, unwind, and enjoy their backyard in a whole new way.
